Only God Can…..

[T]he finish line is sometimes merely the symbol of victory.  All sorts of personal triumphs take place before that point, and the outcome of the race may actually be decided long before the end.

I sometimes think that we do not appreciate the sheer magnitude of the things that God can do to transform all of those negatives that seem to assault us every day into positives that we can apply to our lives as we seek to become even better people. But we have to be able to open not just our hearts but our minds, as well, to all of these efforts. God doesn’t always thrash us over the head with the things He wants us to know. Instead, it might just be a gentle nudge as if we are feeling a hand in the small of our back, guiding us in the direction we need to head.

So the next time your life seems like a huge MESS, pull back a moment and see if you feel that guiding hand. Is God helping you to discover if there is a MESSage to be learned from all of the chaos in your life? Don’t just take the easy way out by focusing on the things that are obvious. Look deeper and discover what you find when you look inward and into a heart that has allowed the love of God safe haven.  Is it just possible that God is TESTing the degree of your faith? Perhaps He asking that you speak up and by doing so, reveal what only you know. Can you share some personal TESTimony where you open up and tell the world that you believe with all your heart, mind and soul? So often, simply opening up and honestly and unashamedly sharing with others the love you feel as one who is secure in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is your personal Lord and Savior, can serve to transform those TRIals into TRIumph! Now I can not speak for everyone else, but I can state with certainty what my heart tells me is true, and that is that in life, it is always preferable to become one who knows VICTory in the things we do rather than remain the VICTim we condemn ourselves to becoming if we refuse to meet life’s challenges head on. Yes, indeed, there is nothing you can not manage as long as you are armed with faith and knowledge that GOD‘s GOODness endures always!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
