Wandering re-establishes the original harmony which once existed between man and the universe.

My travels are over. And as it is with any brief journey, it was over much too quickly. The 5 days I had to spend with my New York family was good for the soul, though. We are a family of the 21st century. We are widespread throughout the United States…..literally coast (California…Hi Brittnye, George and little Kayden) to coast (New Jersey…Missing beach time with you all Marie, Hal and Christina)! And this means that the time we spend together, while short in duration, must, most definitely, be long in quality. And when we search our minds thinking about those blessings we are fortunate to have been graced with, it is most likely that quality time I refer to, that we spend with those near and dear to our hearts, our family, that springs to mind first!

There is another wonderful thing we can all become a member of….another very special family. It doesn’t cost anything to join and yet membership in this family is not free. But once you join, you are entitled to the most wonderful benefits imaginable! Anyone is welcome to join. Skin color or creed or even (dare I utter the words?) sexual orientation is not a barrier to joining this family. As I mentioned, it is not free but the cost is within the reach of everyone, no matter their economic situation. You see, the ticket is simply looking within your own heart and letting JESUS enter. If you have been baptised, you are already a member of this family. If not, it is not really necessary for Salvation. We are, in reality, saved by faith alone. It is our choice to become a brother and sister in God’s family. However, Baptism is an outward showing of declaring Jesus as your savior. The key is to believe and accept. If you don’t believe in Jesus then even if you are baptised, all you will be is a “wet sinner”. But to believe, and to be saved, nothing is more wonderful! Yes, I have my blood family. And yes, I also have my spiritual family. To have both is a blessing far beyond all imagining!

Where Peace Begins

(We Are One Family)
~

Lyrics:
Here we stand together
One in all humanity
For we all come from the Father
We are one family
It’s our school of love and peace
Where we’ve learned there’s a way
for the world to live in harmony
and together we all say

~

Chorus:
This is where peace begins
Here we sow the seeds of love
It all starts with our knowing
We are one family
We are one family under God

~

Not just body but spirit
On and on we try to be
people who live for others
For love knows no boundaries
Neither race nor religion
No barriers can keep us apart
Forgiveness, true understanding
This is how it all starts

~

Chorus:
This is where peace begins
Here we sow the seeds of love
It all starts with our knowing
We are one family
We are one family under God

For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

Galatians 3:26-29 (NLT)
