‘Thank you’ is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, understanding.

I shared a picture on my social media site the other day and it garnered many, many comments as well as likes from friends (and even strangers). The picture I am referring to appears above, and I share it again with and for you, for a reason. You see, I think that we forget just how easy it is to say “Thank You”.

___

Now, whether you are saying it to someone you love (like your spouse, child or a friend), or someone you don’t even know well (like the person who rang up your purchases at the store), the process is exactly the same.  But did you know it as easy to say “Thank You” to God as it is to say it to those friends,  neighbors? In fact, it may even be easier, since God already knows you, and what you need as well as the things you are grateful for.

___

So in an effort to share with you exactly how easy it really is, I decided that rather than write some pearls of my own, I would share some “Thank You” pearls from others!

___

The things that are worthy of that gratitude to God are as numerous as there are stars in the heavens. However there is one commonality that connects each expression….and that is that they are brief and succinct!

Dear God,

Thank you for being love. I now realize that when I am loving, I am you. When I am full of fear, hatred, or anger, then I am pushing you away with both arms. If I open those arms and expose my heart, then you are always there to give me the love I need.

Love Always,

Your son,

Dear God,

I just want to thank you for all of your goodness and faithfulness to me and my family. This has been a great year. In spite of all my lows and failures, I know that your blessings and goodness for me outweighs them all. Besides, I know and believe that you’re doing all these for my good. I pray that we’ll continue to keep grounded and rooted in You and Your word. I know that there are better and best days for me ahead and I thank You, Almighty Father. Please help me with all the challenges I’m now facing with my relationships, future, and every area of my life. I surrender to You, Lord. I trust in You.

In Your Most Mighty Name, Amen.

Every single image and letter I shared was simple, to the point and most importantly, from the heart! So if all of these people can manage to thank the Almighty for their blessings, why can’t the rest of us? All we need do is close our eyes, bow our heads, open our hearts and say three words. No more. You see, He knows what is inside of our hearts, and all that we need, even before we know it ourselves. So what are those magic 3 words? “THANK YOU GOD”! And I suspect that this is something each of us can manage at least once every day!

___

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.”

2 Thessalonians 1:3 NIV
