::::Mandy’s Story::::
~ ~ ~
    • A nurse for nearly 30 years in NY and NJ, my husband Dan and I retired to the Myrtle Beach, SC area, which is where we spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon in 1975! As a Registered Professional Nurse with Certification in a number of specialties including home care, I was afforded the opportunity of working closely with various Social Service Agencies in NY and NJ.
    • A lifelong Christian, I was ordained as a Presbyterian deacon at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church in 1993 and, after relocating to SC in 2000, elected to become ordained as a non-denominational minister. I established “MandysPath” Ministry in 2011. “MandysPath” Ministry is a member of Pacific Life Church, El Sobrante, CA, network of ministries http://pacificlifechurch.org/
    • I direct an outreach ministry in an alternative setting, providing spiritual care to a congregation of more than 500 people from around the world via the Internet. As part of this outreach, I write a daily faith-based blog. In March, 2012 I was asked to become a board member of Heroes For Children which assists the Guardian ad Litem program of Horry County, SC, a non-profit group of court appointed advocates who represent the best interests of children in Family Court proceedings involving allegations of abuse or neglect.
    • I have been married since 1975 to a wonderful man, Daniel. I have a son Daniel and his wife Melissa who live in NYC. My daughter Sabrina and my grandson Landon live here in SC. My father Harold has made Colorado his home base for now.

  1. Hi Mandy,
I absolutely LOVE this blog! Thank you for letting me know about it and giving me the opportunity to share in your journey! I have laughed, cried and even had a few AHA moments myself!
I will look forward to reading more…
    All my love,
    Anny

    • I so enjoy writing it. It really comes from the heart. At times a tad more secular and a bit less revers
T than maybe it should be but I’m only human…lol! Just hoping I dont run out of things to say! Please share it with your parents @ Blanc too…I don’t have email for them. Love you back!

  3. We are so very proud of you. Your words have always been our main source of strength and inspiration. This has always been your calling! Your words move mountains and give so many of us comfort and reassurance.

    • I think you are giving me too much credit! But I am happy to discover that you read them. I didn’t know that! You all are the reason I try to be the best I can be. I love you both very much!

  4. I wants to know if your words: only God can turn a mess into a message… are copyrighted because I wants to put these words onto a T-shirt. Do you know who wants the copyright?

    • Aaron, I wish they were.

Those words are part of a longer quote which goes like this…..
Only GOD can turn a MESS into a MESSage, a TEST into a TESTimony, a TRIal into a TRIumph, a VICTim into a VICTory. GOD is GOOD… all the time!!!!!

When I wanted to use it I googled all over the place and I could not find out definitively who wrote it. The closest I could get was a name C Moorman but I could not find out who he or she was. Sorry!

    • Can you remind me which post you are referring to? I reviewed the last few weeks and I don’t know what cross you are referring to, so that I can edit or change the picture to which you refer. Thanks so much.

      Mandy
